The village of Mythoi is located 20 km from Ierapetra on the road to Mirtos at an altitude of 220 m above the sea level.
In a short distance from the village starts the wonderful Sarakina gorge which has a great wild beauty, plenty of water and vegetation and can be passed only at the end of summer when the water is not too much.
