Achlia in Lassithi
Achlia is a settlement approximately 7 km west of Makri Gialos in the area of Lassithi.
Achlia beach, a beautiful horseshoe shaped bay, is offering safe swimming in turquoise waters.
This is accessed via a steep road leading down from the Ierapetra main road and is a touristic resort at the coast of Libyan Sea.
The area between Makri Gialos and Agia Fotia is rocky and there are just few sandy beaches. Most of them are surrounded by high rocks.
If you spend time exploring the area, you will beautiful private beaches, known only by the natives.
The waters are blue-clear, as you see in the photos.
The most known beaches of the area is the beach of Achlia and the one of Agia Fotia.
At the surrounding area you can find hotels, villas, apartments and rooms to rent and mini markets, which provide anything you need. There are also some restaurants in Achlia.
